Report Of Activities For The Academic Year 2025 – 2026


School reopened on 17th June 2025, after the summer break. Students were warmly welcomed back to school by the Management and Staff. The day began with the lighting of the traditional lamp which symbolized the illumination of minds through education. The program included a prayer service along with a short skit performed by the teachers, depicting the importance of light in our lives.





The Investiture ceremony for the academic year 2025-2026 was held on 12th July 2025. To keep in par with the ever-changing and challenging world, students were given opportunities to exhibit their leadership qualities. Students from classes I to X contested for the various portfolios and were elected to the student council which boosted up their morale. Delicious snacks were served to parents and guests.





Grandparents are a family’s greatest treasure and its strong foundation. Through their special love and care grandparents keep the family closely bonded.

To honour them, our students celebrated, "Grandparents Day" on 30th July 2025. Students of Classes I to III entertained their grandparents through action songs, skits on the value of grandparents and a dance performance. Many games such as housie, musical chairs and passing of the parcel brought a twinkle in their eyes. Tasty snacks were served generously to all guests.



A health checkup for the students was conducted from 19 July, 2025 to 23 July, 2025 in the school premises by the doctors from Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram (Nagpur Gramin),Maharashtra. The students were first made aware of the importance of Oral and personal hygiene by the team followed by an overall health checkup. The doctors then informed the respective class teachers of their students minor/major health issues.





"Plantation Day" was observed on 5th August 2025"
Students planted saplings in the school campus. It was a day of care and compassion for Mother Earth. The seed cultivation which was demonstrated caught the interest of the students. They all pledged to do the same in their own gardens and flower pots.

The chief guest was Mr Sharad Paliwal, a noted environmentalist and a philanthropist. He gave an inspirational talk on the conservation and protection of the environment. He concluded his speech with a demonstration of seed cultivation.



Sr. (Dr.) Charmaine Coutinho, gynaecologist from St. Joseph’s Hospital, Yerla was the resource person for a seminar for girl students of Classes VI to X. She spoke on "Health and Hygiene".

The students interacted and shared their fears and concerns of matters related to their health and body. The Principal Sr. Claudia Mendez thanked Dr. Charmaine for her valuable advice to the students as they go through adolescence. At the end of the session, all were treated to light snacks and refreshments.



A week long celebration marking the 79th Independence Day was organised at which several cultural competitions, action songs, dances, skits and group songs exhibited the patriotic spirit. The Principal, Sr. Claudia Mendez awarded the winners and appreciated them for their hard work. She also encouraged the students to keep up the spirit of unity and patriotism in their lives.






On 8th August, 2025, Students of Primary section celebrated the festival of Raksha Bandhan with enthusiasm, zeal and gaiety. A special prayer service was conducted thanking the Almighty for the bond of love and affection between the brothers and sisters of the school. The young ones then tied ‘Rakhi’ as a symbol of this bond. Several songs, dances and heartwarming skits showed the importance of the Universal bond of Brotherhood in the present world.





September 5, 2025 was a memorable day for Staff and Students, who appreciated their Teachers by expressing deep gratitude through various songs, colourful, hilarious skits and dances.

The Tiny Tots of the Pre-Primary section decked themselves in fancy dress depicting the theme: WONDERLAND– WEALTH OUT OF WASTE, JUNGLE SAFARI which brought joy and pleasure to one and all




Mothers’ Day was observed on September 8 by students of class IV & V. The event began with a special prayer thanking God for the gift of Mothers. Students took much pain and trouble to make the programme very special through short skits, appropriate songs, dances and games for their Mothers. Sister Rashmi Michael, Principal of the School, graciously thanked the Mothers for their significant presence in the school that day and for their invaluable cooperation at all times.





One of the most anxiously awaited activities is the Annual Concert, held on 6th Dec. 2019 for primary school and 7th Dec. 2019 for high school.

The Theme for Primary school was 'PARIVARTHAN' and 'YEH MERA INDIA' for high school. Chief guests were Dr. Sharmishta Gupta and Mrs. Dilnavaz Bhagwagar both former students of St. Joseph’s High Schools. Boxes with well-prepared snacks were served to guests and parents.



Christmas inspires a spirit of sharing and caring. Soaking in the spirit of Christmas, the tiny tots of the pre-primary section celebrated the festival with enthusiasm at Sandhyavan Yerla (Senior Care Home) on 23rd December, 2025.

The students sang melodious carols and danced to various Christmas tunes for the senior sisters. The story of Christmas- God’s love towards humankind was shared by one of the students. The spirit of sharing was shown by the young ones as they distributed gifts to the sisters. The festival of Christmas was also celebrated by Students of Primary to High school on 21st Dec 2019.



On 26 January, Students celebrated 77th Republic Day with solemnity and grandeur. They took pride in glorifying and celebrating the spirit of unity and freedom. The event began with the unfurling of the Indian National Flag by the Chief Guest, Colonel Pankaj Gupta, Commanding officer of Artillery Battalion of Nagpur, Maharashtra. Students of Classes VII and VIII, in their white uniform marched rhythmically to patriotic tunes.





Diwali is celebrated each year by one and all. Students enjoy presenting the symbolism and meaning of the festival and take keen interest in doing the same.

After the presentation of each festival, students and staff enjoy sweets, refreshments, and goodies pertinent to that particular festival.








Conclusion : As Helen Keller said, “Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement”. With each passing day, we strive to scale greater heights and stride ahead in all diverse dimensions.We are continually very proud of our history, our values, our outstanding facilities and the high standards achieved by our students. We truly have an incredible school with a supportive and involved parent community, dedicated and highly skillful staff, excellent resources and buildings and the most fantastic students to work with.To avoid lengthy presentation, the report is just a nutshell of all.
